Introduction

Ballistics Vidyalaya was established in the year 1994, with the basic objective of providing quality education to the children of Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL) employees residing at TBRL Range, Ramgarh. Its foundation was laid by Shri M. Balakrishnan, The Director of Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL), Chandigarh. Ballistics Vidyalaya is an aided school under Defence Research Development Organization(DRDO), which is run and managed by DRDO Educational Society, Chandigarh.

Ballistics Vidyalaya is dedicated to develop overall personality of students, by training them in mind and spirit to face all the challenges in life and inculcating ethical and social values to nurture them into perfect human being infused with spirit of patriotism thought since hard work, improved teaching learning techniques, team work and continued improvement in effectiveness and efficiency of its Quality Management System.

We have grown consistently over the years in terms of infrastructure, modern educational facilities to student strength. Starting from mere 25 students, now we are having 457 students. For smooth, systematic and transparent functioning of our system, our school was certified with ISO 9001:2000 in December 2006. By Updating its status, our school was recertified as per new version ISO 9001:2008 in November 2010.
Our Motto “EDUCATION IS PROGRESS” is based on the vision of the “Missile Man of India” Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam. He visualizes “future India to be an Educated India”.
